Used to be a big Samsung fan after i got this watch i will never buy samsung again customer service is a joke its advertised that it can track your heart rate, steps, stress and so forth but it really does nothing messages dont come through as well as emails calls come through right before voicemail picks up cant send a message with it overall a complete waste of money and after the lack of support from samsung to fix the problems i personally will never buy again

Watch Active 2 was better

I recently traded in my watch active 2 for this watch, hoping to pull some value out of my old one before it depreciated too much, but honestly, I regret it. The watch active 2, even 2 years old, had a better battery life than this brand new one with the same features enabled and use factors. This one barely makes it through one day with minimal use. If you have an older model, my recommendation is to save your money and wait for whatever comes next. If you don't have any smart watch yet, buy an older model. I'm a big Samsung fan, with a laptop, phone, TV, and watch from them, and I do recommend Samsung Watches overall especially if you have a Galaxy phone, but this one is not impressive in comparison to their previous.

First of all, feature wise, it lacks a lot when compared to the apple watch. Poor assistant support. Poor audio. Slow at times. Apps pale in comparison to apps on apple watches.
Second. My watch 4 classic's dial stopped registering after 2 months. After only moderate daily use if any. Has not even been with me to work since watches can pose a hazard.
The dial broke after 2 months. I still cant believe it and its my watch.
Thirdly. Support only knows how to google articles. They cant even tell me it the defect will be covered under warranty. (I get charged almost 80$ if i go to the repair button under the product in my account.)
Overall this has been a poor experience and a waste of time.

My spouse and I have owned a watch 4 paired to or digits line since November. Everything has been great except for three major issues. I like the new Google integration as I really like being to be able to download songs on YouTube music. Overall functionality and responsiveness on the screen is fantastic. However, I do not yet recommend that anyone buy the paired line until T-Mobile fixes the voicemail notifications. Voicemail notifications are constant and have gotten worse since the new watch update. T-Mobile does not have a fix. You either must deal with the buzzing on your watch at regular intervals all day for a notification that you have a voicemail that does not exist or you must disable all phone call and phone voicemail notifications. This is irritating since I appreciate knowing when my phone rings by my watch buzzing since I like always having my phone in silent mode.
The second issue is that the watch overheats and shuts down about 5 minutes into a bike ride if I am both tracking the bike ride and listening to music that I downloaded to the watch through Bluetooth. These two functions was a huge selling point for me so that I did not need to carry my phone. It does not occur on every ride. It does occur in the middle of the winter even when the outside of the watch feels cold to the touch. I find this very irritating and seems to be a defect.
The third issue is with battery life. On a normal day with very modest use, with maybe one workout for about 30 minutes but no GPS tracking without the phone, it can last the whole day but just barely. When the watch is used to track a workout without the phone once in a day, it will probably not last the whole day. When the watch does not overheat and I am using it without my phone to listen to music by Bluetooth and track my workout, it loses about 10% battery life every 10 minutes. This is with very little screen use during the workout. I have never had it last more than 1 hour on a bike ride when using these two functions even when fully charged.
I owned and used a Samsung Galaxy watch active for few years that had less functionality but performed its functions better.

This was a definite waste of money. I am very upset. I'm going to try and return it. This product has ZERO battery life (8-10hrs), and I am being extremely generous. What is the point of trying to track sleep if you have to charge it by the end of the evening. Don't buy this one.

I normally don't write reviews, but seeing the negative ones I had to write my take on it. To me it sounds like many of the problems people are facing is because they are tech illiterate. Watch faces? Just download third party apps there are soooo many and they are really good. My watch charges really fast. I take a eat dinner take a shower and it ready so I can wear it at night to track my sleep. I just don't have the screen on all day and it lasts 1 day and a half min. The watch is so sexy two of my cousins want one now. I use it when I go to the gym and for swimming and I think it tracks everything good. Except on the treadmill, it always shows 200m less than what the treadmill shows. I think is totally worth it if your purchasing a new one. Maybe not so much if you're upgrading.

Overall am very happy with the watch. My only issue is with the band. I had to take the standard band that came with it as I ordered during pre-order and customization. The band pops off all the time and once the watch went flying during a workout. No matter what I try, it doesn't solve the issue. Luckily there has been no damage but I am pushing my luck as even minimal movement causes the clasp to fail. Finally had to give in and order a new band which is annoying as I have only had the watch for 3 months. Not excited about having to spend more money. Hopefully the extreme sport will be stronger.

Spend 11 hours with technician to connect them to Galaxy Note20 Ultra and 8 hours with AT&T advanced technical support to figure out how to connect it and update software. After all, battery was dying in less than 3 hours.
Send it back! I'm done with Samsung!

To start off I had the was 2, was ok. So when I got this watch I did t expect to much. I was so wrong. The Galaxy watch4 has all the features that I use, that you had to download on the 2.i like how I can be anywhere in the house and the watch stays connected, so I never miss a call or text.Funny thing is I got it for the same price I bought the first one. If you aren't sure, I say buy it, you won't be sorry.

I waited for this watch for a year after I finally gave up my apple phone and switched back to Samsung. I love the fit and the band is comfortable. My only complaint would be the battery life isn't that great. It has to be charged at least every two days and I get that life out of it only because I turn it off at night to conserve the battery. Other than that I love it!

I took the offer to try for 21 days, it was all worth it. I love that it finally comes in my rose gold pink. I didn't like the Watch 3 version since my wrist is tiny. Watch 4 looks elegant, thinner and more exclusive than any other smart watches. Plus the features for blood oxygen and body composition are made me love this Watch even more. The only drawbacks is I have no clue to how to redeem my 50 dollars gift certificate. I bought an extra Sam Miro band but I couldn't use coupon code to buy this band or any other Watch 4 bands.

Traded in my Watch3 for the Watch4 and I LOVE it. The watch is 1000x more responsive and the UI runs very smooth and is crisp and clear. The rose gold with the black leather hybrid band looks classy and sleek. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase.

Bought this for my girlfriend's birthday, replacing an Active 2. She really likes the look and the new straps. Unfortunately some of the features are lacking in comparison. The biggest complaint is with the slide show watch face feature; withe the Active 2 the photos would cycle ever time the watch would wake, on this one she has to cycle through manually, which is kind of lame.

It works as expected because I know what my expectations are, and how something like this should work and serve its user. It connects me to just about everything with or without a phone, and that surprised me! The watch faces are bright, look good, and are very useful at conveying information to the user. What I like the best is the features that allow me to reply to EVERY notification from the phone (I use a Pixel 5). Battery life is average, but I always end up with 40-60% at the end of the day once I throw it on the charger. The watch wil only get better with time and this new interplay and partnership with Google is the best thing both companies could have done with each other - as allies.

I LOVE Samsung and have since my first S3. Unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed in my new Galaxy Watch 4 classic! I bought this to work with my Samsung phone and pre-ordered it. I had great expectations with the combined effort from Google. It doesn't have Google assistant, Blood Pressure Monitoring in the USA, No internet browser, and the apps in the play store are limited. No access to WAZE and so many other apps but unnecessary apps are preinstalled. Samsung Internet Browser, which would let me use full versions of YouTube and Facebook, etc. These facts were enough to cause me to return it as my Watch 3 still has no access to blood pressure as promised so buy it with what it has. You can't return it after 30 days so wait and see if they figure out the bugs, issues before you are stuck with this. The battery life is awful...!!! I had to shut off the always on display, WIFI, and didn't even activate the LTE. Every time I look at it, the battery is down another 5%.
The Classic with the rotating Bezel with the polished stainless steel is very solid and beautiful.....the white band only not so much though. I hope this honest review helps others.

just picked one up from Best buy and battery is awful. on S2 i owned before it went bad i was getting 2 days with regular use. pedometer and regular use nothing crazy. with this one at first i had charge once a day then i found out about wifi and disabled and getting 1.5 days. samsung is cleaning the market out of older style to push this one and it is not completely quality checked yet. I'd probably return this one but may have to repurchase it again. i don't know. and surprisingly no one at samsung can tell when they'll bring more black one????!!!

I was really looking forward to upgrading my Galaxy Watch to the Watch 4 Classic. I love the all silver design. I'm in a professional setting and the all black of the Galaxy Watch didn't look very elegant. Unfortunately, that's all I can say good about the Watch 4.
The battery is less than what I had before. What makes it worse is that there's no way to turn off the green flashing light on the bottom of the watch. 2 of the last 3 nights it's drained my battery to 0% during the night. I can only assume it couldn't detect my pulse so it just kept going until there was no more battery. The reason it couldn't detect my pulse was because I wasn't wearing it! Why would Samsung have a feature that would run so long it would essentially make your watch useless???
I fell for the hype that there would be an endless supply of watch faces on the Google play store but that was a bust also. Why can't we have access to the watch faces that are available on the Tizen OS -AND- on Google play?
I'm seriously considering returning this and keeping the Galaxy Watch I have yet to send back. I can find refurbished Galaxy watches on Amazon for a lot less than I paid for this.

GENERAL: I bought Samsung Galaxy Classic LTE 42 mm watch and I am returning it now after trying it for 3 days; my last 3 days have been spent with Samsung to resolve various issues unsuccessfully. Wish it would have been as functional as advertised.
PROS: Nice looking, rotating bezel, quality of voice and material. Samsung allows the return. Costumer service was courteous and helpful.
CONS: Cost, battery charged life, unreliable to function, bulky/thick, heavy, cheap strap for the price paid, customer support lacked needed in-depth knowledge, lack of VOIP with apps, number of apps available to use/download, memory space and speed of functions.
CONCLUSION: Waste of money and time. Returning the watch, may buy again elsewhere to try for maybe I got the bad piece but not sure. Discount warranted from Samsung definitely for if I buy a new watch.

Heart rate monitor and ECG do not work for me, but interestingly work for my wife. Her Apple Watch works for me.
I have tried both wrists, tightening the band, rotating it, moving it up my arm. Sadly I missed the return period by 2 days. If it doesn't work for you return it ASAP. Or just don't buy it to begin with and wait until they fix the problem.
Whether I exercise or sit or walk it shows 70-80 BPM.

Didn't get a chance to use it for a run until after the 15 day return window. It can't use spotify and the built in run tracker at the same time without overheating. Even just using spotify on its own without the phone is a nightmare. Gonna try to call and see if they'll let me return this and the earbuds that fall out when you run.

This product is mediocre at complted nominal tasks, and even worse at "flagship tasks". using the watch with LTE, a workout enabled, and connected to galaxy buds is impossible because it overheats and stope everything. Terrible product.

1) had the watch 2 weeks and constant updates from either Google Wear, Samsung Store or an App like Google Fit. The latest update freezes the phone so one cannot change the Watch Face. The constant updates from 3 sources is confusing and not mainstreamed.
2) Tried to register the product warranty and followed the directions on the Samsung warranty website and the wrong type of watch shows. Called Samsung and got the run around as they kept transferring me 6 times to different departments to register the watch.
3) Battery life is awful. With less than 2 hours use the battery drains 50% even though I have followed all setting recommendations on the web to conserve battery life.
In summary, I would not buy this watch!

I've had this watch for about two weeks now and the battery life really sucks it doesn't last a full day. I upgraded from the galaxy active watch and I could've have honestly kept it. The watch face selection is terrible I never had to download extra things to be able to use my watch. It also doesn't receive all of my text messages I'll receive them on my phone but not my watch and it will be connected. I'm not impressed at all by this watch. Smh very disappointed. I'm considering sending it back and keeping my galaxy active. I'm usually very impressed by Samsung but not this time and I don't like how the app selection is set up like the apple watch.

I was disappointed that Gmail and Samsung email is not supported. Also the battery life is not consistent with advertised duration. I received it this week and promptly returned it. I expected much more...since the Galaxy 3 was outstanding.

I only had the watch for 2 weeks and the first few days seemed great. I would charge the watch to 100% before bed so that I could see how well the battery did while monitoring my sleep. First few days waking up at approximately 5:30am the watch would be at 80% or so which I was happy with. Then as the week progressed the watch would drain faster and faster. When I contacted samsung and let them know they said they did not having evidence of this problem and recommended I factory reset the watch. I did this. Same story. First few days seemed okay, then progressively worse. By the time I brought the watch back to TMobile, I was seeing a decrease of about 3% every 15-20 minutes. I am unsure if this is just a bad batch of watches or what but I chose to return it and get the active2 instead.

I thought I would be upgrading my Galaxy Watch with the new Watch4 Classic. However, I have used the watch for two weeks, and it has not been worth the price. I am very disappointed.
Samsung doesn't seen to understand what that Always on Display (AoD) means that the display doesn't turn off. AoD didn't work on the original Galaxy Watch and it doesn't work on Watch 4. I would like to be able to glance down at my watch and see the time without raising my arm to activate the face and am willing to take the battery hit. More often than not, I get a blank face when I look down. I have tried all the settings appropriate to setting AoD and have a tight connection to my wrist and still often get a blank face. I got the new watch in hopes that the problem with the old one had been fixed -- no such luck.
Another issue is the lost in the health app step counter of the weekly average step count and +/- how much you are off the average. I liked this feature as a motivator to take a few more steps.
I really liked the default watch face on the original Galaxy Watch, but it's not available in the choices for the new watch. Also, the number and quality of faces is more limited than previously.
I do like having the ECG function, but I am not sure it's worth the cost of the "upgrade."
My previous watch worked well for more than two years and had no problems with I traded it in. This watch seems to function well, also. I would recommend to a friend, but I would let them know the limitations.

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Active 2. I love the watch. However, because I have to charge it every day or night, before going to bed, I prefer going back to the famous named brand I was wearing before. The battery life on that particular brand last for days before i have to recharge it. If I have to turn off almost all features for the battery to last longer, what good is the Galaxy watch?

I've had the watch for a few weeks and I mostly love it. I upgraded from the Watch 3 for the amazing trade-in that was offered. I wasn't expecting anything ground breaking from Wear OS or Samsung. I really liked the styling of the Watch 4 Classic so I bought it. Overall, it's more modern looking, stylish, works flawlessly, and feels familiar. This version of Wear OS looks and functions very much like Tizen OS. On the down side: the backup feature doesn't work. I switched the watch between 2 different phones and had to start from scratch each time; no improvements in battery life (might even be a small loss); and not enough watch faces to choose from. There are way more on Tizen. All of those are minor issues. Overall, the watch functions well, does 99% of what it says it does, and looks hot in the wrist.

The charger had cellophane on it but the wire itself looked like it was hand wound as if from a return. There was a small empty plastic bag under the watch band. Worst part is that the "Quick Start Guide" did not help me get started. It had a link to samsung support. What's the point? A quick start guide helps you "get started". Not giving me a warm and fuzzy here, but will try it out anyway.

Would give 0 stars if it were an option. Battery is supposed to run for 40 hours? My husband's and mine don't even last 4! What a joke. Very difficult to set up. Also has to keep re connecting to our mobile carriers service. We have perfect service at our home and around most of our city. Don't waste your time or money! Will be returning.
