model rf28hfedbww ice maker frozen in less than a year and then within 4 years the upper section condenser completely freezes over. unfortunately it is something that can be replaced but not what i expected as far as dependability. rather than fixing it i went back to an american built product and didn't even bother making it a garage backup.

i purchased this refrigerator in february of 2019. my unit is no longer cooling even though it indicates the degree of the freezer is 0, and the degree of refrigerator is 37. the internal temperatures are in the 40's. i have a non-working $2,000.00 refrigerator that is less than one and a half years old.

Unless you have a team of engineers in your house, don't expect to pull the shelves out and clean. I would like to talk to the engineers who designed the tiny tabs you have to push and then pull out a shelf that will not fit out the opening. Worst design I have ever seen.

Getting food in and out of the top drawer in bottom freezer is challenging and limited by design. I often have to open the fridge doors to access those items. Also the ice maker is very slow and very loud. It has been giving us trouble with build up of frozen solid water which keeps it from making ice and also has been making mold issues.

When I was going through the refrigerator purchase process, I was comparing this model to another company's model. This refrigerator offered more space at a better price. My only complaint is about the storage on the left side door. The shelves are very narrow, and very few things will fit in them. This might be due to the ice maker. I wish that it had the same amount of storage as the right side. It's only been a few days, however so far I'm pleased with the product.

Have only had this refrigerator for a short time but we are glad we bought it. Exterior - First off, we were able to purchase in white. The opening for water and ice is quite large and able to handle taller pitchers. The exterior digital control panel is easy to read and use. Interior - This is our first French door refrigerator. Compared to our old side by side this feels huge when both doors are open. It makes it so much easier to find what we want. The bright lighting is also great. At this point we only have 2 minor complaints. First is trying to fit wine bottles, gallon milk jugs or taller bottles on the shelves. Milk jugs do fit in the lower door bin. Granted there is one shelf that flips up and another that slides back under another shelf to accommodate taller bottles, but then you lose shelf space to fit 1 tall bottle. The door bins have the same problem. If you raise one bin to fit a taller bottle you then limit what can fit in the upper bins. We still like this refrigerator and started buying smaller size containers. The second minor complaint is that the doors do not shut by themselves. You must manually shut the doors all the way otherwise they stay open 1 or 2 inches. This is a minor issue since we have already gotten used to this. Many reviews we read before purchasing this refrigerator mentioned how noisy it was. We can hardly hear any noise from it except when the ice maker dumps finished ice cubes into the bin. At this point, after only owning it for a short time, we thinks it's great and would recommend it to others.

I first discovered this fridgerator while dog sitting for a neighbor for a week. After being able to use her fridge during that time I fell in love with it and all it's features. My neighbor has had hers for years and still loves it. When I asked her if she recommended it she said yes! It is so roomy and I love the extra long and deep bottom drawer. The freezer also has a little shelf on the door where we can store our freezer packs which makes it so handy to find instead of digging through the freezer for them. Would highly recommend this particular fridge.

We have had French door refrigerators before, although not the lower freezer aspect. Now after 6 months we have gotten very use to this. The spaciousness of the refrigerator is very nice. Our ONLY complaint is that the NOISYNESS of the compressor is concerning. Other reviews mentioned this, and some speck of the severity of the noise. Ours seem to be not what I would call severe, but annoying. I read another review that said "I'm just worried what it will sound like in 5 to 10 years". These are also my thoughts. I am an older consumer, that is frustrated with all manufacturers producing these higher priced appliances, that on average MAY LAST 10 years. I remember when most appliances could last 20-30. In my opinion there as been a high level of collusion.

We went from an older 21 cu. ft. refrigerator to this Samsung and now our fridge looks practically bare. Great layout of drawers and freezer. It only took about 6 hours to get to operating temperature thanks to the power cool and power freeze functions. Love this fridge.
