The washer works great. The dryer doesnt work right. I am constantly having to restart it after 5 minutes. Takes hours to dry a normal load. Error message d90 but nothing is in the lint filter and no duct blockage. I cant wait to get rid of this and get a dryer that actually dries. Dont waste your money on this

I bought this machine a couple months ago and often times when I go to turn on the machine with the app on my phone it does not work. The Wi-Fi does not connect well with the appliance - this is an appliance issue as my Wi-Fi is super close to the machine signal strength is strong. With the Wi-Fi issue the app often does not seem to see the machine or that the app itself is a problem in that I often cannot download the other wash cycle types due to the app not connecting. I found the only kind of solution is to unplug the machine to reset the Wi-Fi issue but that only lasts a few hours or maybe a day. Very inconvenient.

I bought this LG Studio Series Washtower so that I could trade in my 3 year old LG Washer Dryer for a sexier newer model that takes up half the floor space. I have had the Washtower for about a week and have done a ton of laundry and these are my findings: PROS: * Takes only half the floor space than side-by-side units * Seems a little quieter than previous models I have used * Faster wash times * Dries very evenly * Middle control panel easy to reach/use CONS: * Doesnt come with a detergent tank * WIFI extremely difficult to set up

This tower of garbage was delivered yesterday. Ran my first load of laundry in it today. Washer washes. Dryer spins but doesnt heat. Over 2 hours of veing passed between distributer and LG 20 minutes of which was just getting my phone number right. Now they tell me they will call back within 24 Business hours...on a friday...and that is to suppoaedly setup an exchange. Do not waste your time or money on this.

All in all this has been a good machine. A few quirks that I will attribute to technology but otherwise it cleans clothes well and dries them just the same. Big thing we notice is that our clothing seems brighter softer and less lint in the dryer. Features are nice as the app further extends what you can do somewhat but not permanently yet. One issue we have seen and have not yet resolved customer service hasnt responded either is how to set the washer to delay wash for x hours. Seems this would be a perfect feature to include somewhere with all of the options that are available. Also when using the wifi setup a separate wireless network just for this if you notice it dropping off of your primary.

I honestly dont give a lot of reviews but with this one I need to. I had my old washer and dryer for 13 years and they are still running strong. But I seen this washtower and loved the controls for the washer and dryer all right in center genius. And with the height of the washtower where I can reach in and get my dryer without having to stand on my tippy toes wonderful. Im 56 and had to stand on tippy toes with my old set. I had been doing research on the washtowers to figure out all the difference between the towers. I ended up with the studio and I can wash all the bedding with no problems even king comforters. It has the 5.0 wash drum before I had a hard time with kings in old washer. I not only do bedding for my home but also for our camper. Oh yes and this tower is smart also the washer lets dryer know what cycle you are running in washer and the dryer gets set to that cycle. I have had it for about 3 weeks and not regretting buy it at all. Our cloths are drying in about half the time as the old set.

Wonderful but Flawed

I am an interior designer and have specified this unit a number of times for my clients. When renovating my own laundry room I purchased the unit and asked the vendor to ensure both the washer and dryer units would hinge on the right as all other units we had previously purchased hinged on the left. The specs I was sent say the doors are reversible and I was satisfied with that answer. When this unit was installed in my home last week both doors hinged on the left and only the dryer door is reversible. What possible good could it do to have the washer and dryer doors going in opposite directions? I called the 800 number to see how to order a unit with right hinging doors and they said it was not offered. Why the heck not? Not all laundry rooms are set up the same. When I called my vendor they said as the unit has been unboxed and installed a return or exchange would be difficult. I will address that with my vendor but LG needs to step it up and either make both doors reversible or create right and left handed models. Now the reason I have specified this unit before and ended up purchasing the unit for myself is because of the innovative design and intuitive functionality. It has some sleek good looks as well. Other review are not wrong about the lint build up on the inside of the dryer door but I was willing to overlook that due to its other attributes.

I bought this item because I was trying to accomplish two things: save space in my laundry area with a stacking unit and increase my wash/dry capacity by volume. Unfortunately this product is broken after less than a year so I am back where I started. Based on my experience this configuration is not suited for anything but installation on a cement first floor or basement. First the bad: the washer volume is 5.0 cuft but it is not capable of a very large load without destroying the bearings for the washtub. The wifi will only allow one user at a time to be linked to the unit the spin cycle even when the unit has been perfectly leveled is ridiculous for vibration. Figuring out how much detergent to use is like trying to adjust the vertical hold on your tv with a blindfold on the dryer vent sensor is VERY finicky the dryer moisture sensor is VERY sensitive and will constantly adjust the dryer time without notice the unit is HEAVY and BIG the wifi app is constantly a problem freezes and gets hung up on a single page it is so new there are no parts available. The good: there are a multitude of wash cycles on the app to choose from the app will give you status of the washer and dryer cycles in real time it is a HUGE energy and water saver over a regular washer dryer set it looks nice it is a stacking unit. Bottom line for this price point I think this unit has a LONG LONG way to go to be ready for primetime. Unless you are going to use this on a concrete floor in a basement or on a first floor and you only have very small amounts of laundry to do this unit is not for you. I would keep shopping.

Dryer does not work

I have had the product for over a month. The dryer did not work from the start D95 error code. Two appliance repair people have come. A third declined to come as he stated that there is no repair manual for the washer/dryer he has seen this issue before and no one knows how to fix it. I wrote an email to the president of LG two weeks ago received a response the next day but still have not had any follow up since so I do not know if Im receiving a refund or a new appliance. Everyone has been nice to talk to about the appliance it just still doesnt work and I dont know whats happening which is frustrating.

In remodeling my laundry room I decided to look for a new washer and dryer. I wasnt a fan of this kind of combo until I saw the LG. Im only 5 foot tall and this one had the directions in the center wow It fit perfectly in the space provided and I couldnt wait to try it. My first load was small as I wasnt sure how much to put in. This machine is practically soundless. I kept returning to see if it was running. The dryer is wonderful every thing came out dry and was easy to reach. I love this machine.
