Great TV and Concept when it works.

I bought this for my daughter with special needs. We love the concept and love the TV. But the firmware does not work for mesh networks and the location services breaks every 2 weeks and makes it so that streaming services dont work. It has been shipped back for service. I hope that they can fix these issues.

If you see this Tv online or in the store LEAVE IT THERE Quit working after only 3 months. Getting through to LG customer service is a nightmare. Now I have to package the TV up and have it sent in for repair. Youd think something this fancy would be easy to lift this thing weighs a ton.

I purchased this to use for events and expos. Its touch screen capable and once its charged is entirely mobile. The set up is very easy only 5 screws and once its set up its very solid and sturdy. The base is easily able to roll around to be moved instead of having to carry it. I loved all the preloaded apps including the fitness app. I can see my family using this when Im not using it for my business. I also liked the cell phone accessory as well.

Going in I had my concerns about the stability and sound quality of this TV but these are not a problem at all. The base is very heavy and rolls smoothly across our wood floors. I dont feel like its going to tip over which is obviously very important. The sound was a HUGE surprise for me. I have had other monitors or tvs this size and the sound has sometimes been underwhelming but this thing outperforms every single one. Its so clear and loud. This is a huge plus in my book. I also like the HDMI port so I can connect my console. Overall this has exceeded my expectations.

I highly recommend the LG Stanbyme for those considering it. The build quality is sturdy ensuring durability and the picture quality does not disappoint. It does require some assembly and given its weight its wise to have a friend assist in putting it together. The user interface might take a little time to get accustomed to but the included remote control provides a convenient way to navigate through shows and apps. One of the standout features is its portability within the home allowing you to enjoy your favorite content in any room with ease. While moving it between floors could pose a challenge this was not an issue for me as an apartment dweller. My finance and I are obsessed with this. We use it as a TV in places where we want to watch/stream shows and movies without needing to commit to buying a TV for the space. My fiance uses it when she takes a bath in the tub. She used to balance a laptop on the edge of the tub to watch a movie before the cat almost pushed it in the water too many times. I like to watch shows and movies in the kitchen when I cook. The smart features are great - we use both the touch screen and remote depending on where we are. Its also very easy to use Airplay. The height adjustments are GREAT - can bring the monitor low for the bathtub and high for laying in the bed/standing in the kitchen. Sound quality is just fine for what it is. I wouldnt plan on taking this up and down stairs often as it is quite heavy and awkward to carry. We have a single floor condo so its perfect for us to be able to bring to every room.

I purchased this less than a month ago. Pros 1. Easily to watch tv and remote is cool 2. Clarify is nice for watching movies. 3. Horizontal and vertical use is also pretty cool. Cons 1. I do not like is how heavy it is. It does not easily role anywhere its extremely heavy. 2. Im not sure if is the weight that pulls the pole the tv sits on or if you pull it around but if that pole is rugged a certain way the tv disconnects and you have to play with the pole in order for it to connect again. 3. Touch screen and wen browser is very delayed. 4. Not good for toddlers. They reach and pull on it. So as you can see many cons vs pros

I bought the LG Stanbyme to use as a display for events...and I LOVE it I have our products and testiminials saved to a thumb drive and am able to share what I have to offer on the screen. And if Im super busy with customers those waiting have something to watch until I can help them We can also easily access the web to share more or even process online orders as well... While at home it glides around easily...but taking it to events and transporting it can be a bit tricky - its definitely NOT made for that but were managing At home it serves as a wireless monitor extension for my home office or portable movie screen anywhere we want to watch Netflix other than the living room. The display is bright and the speakers are loud...its a great device all the way around

I was impatiently waiting for this television It looks great out the box but the trouble I have with Webos.. I thought I could travel and do my work. You cant use this as a second display Only airplay The web is horrible Every site I go on theres an error.. You cant download google chrome and in the year 2023 it came writ an outdated USB connection I paid 1000 for a monitor that cant even log into half of the sites I visit for work In 2023 for 1000 I expected a USB-C connector.. They really need an update for webOS Im sending this expensive toy back and getting my money My iPad will be sufficient.. At least Ill be able to log into work on my iPad.. This should be 300.00 at the most

Great for single floor living

As long as LG keeps their servers up its really nice. I use it on the back porch to watch baseball in the dining room sometimes to watch shows. With my HDHomeRun I can install the HDHomeRun app and watch live TV or watch through the available Plex app. I havent found a major streaming service that does not have an app available for this TV. The picture is bright when needed and you can adjust it many different ways but Ive found the AIP setting to be the best all-around. The sound is loud and clear even though the speakers are on the back of the unit. The stand is heavy which would make it hard to move around a big house but Im lucky that I can lift it with no problem and put it where I want to use it. I think this would be an amazing addition to a one-level apartment or house for an owner that didnt want a giant screen hanging on the wall or taking up a table and you can put it in the closet when you dont need it. The wireless performance is great with good range and strong signal. The battery has lasted more than the claimed three hours but also less when I crank up the brightness and sound. Its pretty easy to find a good balance between battery life and viewing/listening. I think this is a thoroughly modern device that takes advantage of a bunch of our current technology to make the TV experience unique and more useful for a lot of people.

My husband loves it. We dont have a water tight outdoor area for a tv so this is perfect. We can wheel it out to watch tv outside and bring it back in when were finished. Its excellent. Works exactly as expected.

It works as expected overall. But the touch screen doesnt work seamlessly like an iPhone or iPad. Need to touch several times for a click. And it is worse for web browser than APP. There are 50 languages to choose from for keyboard. But I could not find Chinese. I am surprised who made the decision for that? It is not based on the most spoken languages but on personal preference??

I have all my streaming apps downloaded and the video quality is amazing I like that you can transport the StanbyMe from room to room with ease. I also like that you can raise or lower the screen to your liking when using the device. I normally use the StanbyMe to watch movies

I recently purchased this unit after seeing it advertised on a commercial. My husband and I USED to argue over the television. But not anymore. Channels came preloaded and I like that I just wish I was able to download my apps mainly DIRECTV. But overall its a great product and a great concept. Unfortunately my husband has taken over it.
